Below the Knee Anti-Embolism Stockings
In a trial recently conducted by UCLH NHS Trust, below-knee graduated compression stockings achieved ratings from patients and staff of; 96% for quality, 96% for comfort, 94% for ease of use and 92% for clarity of instructions. As a below-knee product they are as effective clinically as an above-knee product and
are far more likely to be worn correctly. Above-knee products worn incorrectly could cause constriction below the knee and be detrimental.
